How can you lower the cost of a porta potty rental?
You can lower the cost of a porta potty rental by booking at least a week ahead to avoid the same-day fee, choosing a standard unit plus a handwashing station instead of a trailer for smaller events, renting 3 or more cycles for a long-term rate, and keeping the gate unlocked on delivery and service days.
- Long-term rate: rentals of 3 or more cycles drop to $139 per cycle for a standard unit.
- Multi-unit events: 4 or more units for one event get $15 off each unit.
- Churches and nonprofits: tax-exempt with a certificate.
Porta potty rental cost questions in Detroit
Why does a porta potty cost the same for 4 hours as for a weekend?
Most of the price is the truck trip: loading, driving, placing, pumping, cleaning and hauling waste to a licensed disposal site. Those steps cost the same whether the party lasts 4 hours or 3 days, so event pricing is a flat rate.
Why did I see porta potties online for $75 to $100?
Low online prices usually leave out delivery, pickup, fuel, card fees or tax. Ask any company for the out-the-door total. Our quotes list every line, and we do not add fuel surcharges or card fees.
Is the first month more expensive than later months?
Yes, because the one-time delivery and pickup charge is billed with the first 28-day cycle. Later cycles are just the cycle rate plus tax.
Do you charge more on holidays?
No holiday surcharge. Holiday weekends simply sell out first, so book 2 to 3 weeks ahead for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day.
Are tax-exempt organizations charged sales tax?
No. Churches, schools and government agencies with a Michigan tax-exempt certificate are not charged sales tax. Send the certificate with your order.
Is there a deposit?
Event rentals are paid in full at booking. Monthly rentals pay the first cycle at booking and are billed every 28 days after that. Payment is by card or a secure pay link.
